31% Of Fans Believe We’ll Win Today

Bolton are going to take on Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon. This is a game which all Bolton fans will have their eyes on for numerous reasons.

Bolton fans aren’t only hoping for a win, their first away win of the season and quite some time, but fans are also wondering what will happen from a management perspective if Bolton lose, or even draw.

Bantr, a Football Social Network, aggregates votes from fans on a number of different views, one being a fans confidence vote on the manager and the other in regards to the matchday to see if fans feel confident on winning their game.

So, what are the scores on the board; or shall we ask what’s the confidence vote on today’s game?

Well, to start off, 77% of Bolton fans that use the social network have confidence in manager, Owen Coyle, before going into today’s game. However, only 31% of fans are confident of winning today’s fixture.

Some interesting stats there – even though 77% of fans are behind the gaffer, the confidence on winning the game is very low.

Do you agree with the stats above? What do you think will happen at today’s game? What score do you think it will be today?

    I think we will actually get a draw today. A rather rare result under Owen Coyle but more of which are necessary to start or maintain any unbeaten run.  So away from home a draw is a decent result at any ‘normal’ time. The trouble is the pressure we are under means we are desperate for a win which can lead us to be too open and therefore leak goals!

    Here’s the solution (idea taken from another site) ….
    ….Both clubs are so happy to be rid of Gary Megson they cancel the match and throw a party!  lol

    At least that would stop us losing and every fan will be happy….Everyone’s a winner!
    Now I’d travel to Sheffield for that. Hell….I’d travel to Brighton for that!  ;-)

       @Wanderer
       A little late but nevertheless worth a reply. Saw your comment over the weekend – thought the solution was hilarious! However, what a result it was!! One to hopefully give our lads the confidence and grind out more results like this – with a clean sheet of course!!

         @voiceofbolton Yeah it was a great result!…Glad they didn’t cancel the game and have a ‘No more Megson Party’ after all.  An away win…wow!  So just the clean sheets to work on now eh ;-)
