The Talk Of The Town
Yes, we have to agree we miss those beloved match days but after having such a horrendous season, we decided to take a week or so off in order to just chill out and enjoy life a little more. Although we’re still enjoying ourselves in the sun – which has been long overdue, we need to catch up a little bit with ongoings related to our beloved team.
Adidas To Design Next Bolton Strip
There has been quite a bit of activity on the scene and unless you’ve locked yourself in solitary confinement – you cannot have missed out the biggest news out of the Reebok offices. Bolton have moved their kit agreement from Reebok over the Adidas *Cue acronym jokes!?!*.
Although last season’s shirts were ‘quite’ nice, we have over the last few years have had to deal with some horrible designs. With Adidas now producing the goods, we’re hoping the those creative executives will design something that will make us go all gooey and want to run off to our local sports store to buy a shirt, and maybe shorts for the ‘warmer weather’ – and possibly socks!
So, fingers crossed that Adidas (*cue acronym jokes again*) will deliver something mesmerising for us fans very soon, and not to forget – at a highly affordable price!
Chungy On Bolton Future
It seems Chungy is unsure of his own future with Bolton. Maybe he’s being a little coy and wondering if he’ll receive any offers due to us moving down a level, or we’ve simply not offered him another contract as we weren’t quite sure how he’d turn out after what you can call his worst season of his career.
We’d like to see Phil G and Coyley secure Chungy’s services for a few more seasons. If we are to push for a promotion next season – it’s quite obvious we’re going to need him.
Jussi & Zat Knight
Jaaskelainen has been offered a new contract, Zat Knight may possibly sign on due to an increased first team opportunities due to Wheater’s injury. However, with Big Sam sniffing around the Reebok again, and with certain ‘speculation’ surrounding Robert Green, it wouldn’t surprise us if Jussi moved on to West Ham ‘Wanderers’ in search for first team opportunities. Although the Finn has extensive experience, it seems he’s due to be in the pecking order behind Bogdan for the forseeable future.
There’s plenty more to talk about, such as our pre season tour that’s been announced and Jay Jay Okocha – so good they named him twice, briefly mentioning how his time at the club was a waste of time after seeing us relegated – then again whether that’s true or not is something we can’t confirm as most journalists tend to make something out of nothing.
We only believe Marc Iles and The Bolton News!
