Randy’s Squad Assessment

We’re all aboutr fans here at Voice Of Bolton. We love it when our readers share their thoughts with us, and we’d like to introduce to you – Randy Austin.

Tom Craven, one of our co-writers wrote a post titled – This Is Getting Beyond A Joke, and Randy posted his assessment of the players within our squad:

Jussi – Past it, but oh my God, How long does it take for him to distibute the ball??!!!

Robbo – Awful this season, Positioning is truly terrible.

Knight – Dead loss, He is out worst player. He cannot mark and seems to be brainless.

Cahill – Good player, but can’t do everything.

Boyata – turd.

Stieno – Plays it down the line all the time but he is still our best fit RB.

Wheater – Good but a bit slow and likes the colour red.

Alonso – Who?? not convinced of him but surely should come in a LB.

Riley – potential.

Gardner – always injured.

Eagles – Shoots far too much!!! Needs to perform more often. NOT A LEFT WINGER!!

Mavies – Coyle is using him completely wrong!! RW??? now appears to be far too deep!!!

Muamba & NRC – Pretty much the same. One can tackle better and one can pass better. Muamba should have played on Saturday. He would have stopped that second goal. — I hope.

Pratley – Simply not good enough. Coyles worst signing.

Tuncay – Play him in the hole behind a single striker!!! He is not a Winger and looked much better when he seemed to ignore Coyle and played more centrally, which resulted in him being hauled off.

Petrov – Scapegoat. Yes he may not be the hardest working player we have but he is one of our most creative. The reason I don’t think he plays is due to how Rubbish Robbo is!!

Kakuta – No end product.

SKD – Past it. just fouls people and falls over. sorry Davo. Coyle needs to stop accomodating for him.

Klasnic – Our only Hope???? Still Coyle seeks reasons to drop him.

Ngog – Dont see him. Ok, but not a player a team can rely on. Can’t finish his dinner.

Coyle – Has had his chances to fix many things. just appears to have made it worse. Barton, SWP. had a few targets over the summer and just persisted with them. He also lost us our best all round forward and top goal scorer by playing him in MIDFIELD!!

Also – cant wait to Ricketts to be fit & lets give some young blood a go. Vela, Eaves etc.

    I can’t be bothered. Its beyond repair now tbh !! The damage was done by megson and coyle is inept and totally clueless at this level ! It’s getting worse every week and the powers that be are just ignoring the fact ! We’re going down …… End of !!

    I think the problems that we’re seeing this season were present last season but we had that indomitable spirit for much of the campaign, and most importantly we had Elmander scoring at the start and Sturridge brining the goals in the second half.

    Now that we’ve lost Lee and Holden to such horrible injuries and the replacements for the out going players have so far resulted in a net loss of talent/pace, the errors that were already there start to become fatal.

    I think back to some of the victories at the Reebok last season against Aston Villa and Arsenal in particular – we were very lucky that the opposition was so wasteful. Under Coyle we invite far too much pressure onto our backline for this league. Now that we’ve stopped scoring and the spirit has gone from the lads the goals against column is really starting to hurt us.

    All is not lost and it is possible that we could get a second wind. It’ll probably require a really savvy loan deal and maybe even a transfer though – highly unlikely with our funds!
