Meet One Of The Team – James Peach, We’re Not Talking About The Film!
Every so often, we’ve been doing a meet the team where you get to read a little about one of our co-writers and this time it’s the turn of James, who might we add is quite an interesting chap – if you follow his tweets.
Apart from writing for us, James has also made an appearance on our behalf on an Online TV Programme called Sports Tonight Live, which is hosted by former talkSPORT host Mike Parry. If you’ve missed any of the previous Meet The Team’s we’ve done, then you can catch Alex’s interview and Fraser’s interview here at the links below:

Voice Of Bolton: So James, welcome to Voice Of Bolton – give us the lowdown.
James: Hey guys, I’m James, James Peach – hold back the movie jokes – I’m well aware of a film with a similar name. I’m 19, a Bolton fan born in Southampton but now living in Twickenham, London.
Voice Of Bolton: As with the other co-writers, we normally ask for a random fact about yourself – care to share?
James: Yep – no problem. In 2010 I walked 250 miles for charity, simply because me and my mates thought… Why not!?
Voice Of Bolton: Well, you’re a Southampton born Bolton fan – that’s quite strange. So which Bolton game was your first, and do you remember much about it? Must’ve travelled quite far to watch it.
James: Arsenal 2005. I remember it well. We won 2-0, Stelios and Abdoulaye Faye I believe were the scorers. My mate won the Match Fantasy Football and we were lucky enough to meet the whole team and staff before the match! What a game it was!
Voice Of Bolton: Apart from writing for Voice Of Bolton, what are your other hobbies & interests?
James: All things Bolton, films and listening/ playing music. I love a bit of all sorts of music, but classic rock like Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton and E.L.O are my favourites.
Voice Of Bolton: You must have had your fair share of embarrassment and hilarity throughout your life, so is there any moment in particular that you’d like to share?
James: I guess I was pretty embarrassed the day I met the Bolton squad. I was kicking a ball around with the mascots on the pitch before the match and I seemed to bring my Z-game! I sliced it, topped it and pretty much mis-hit every pass I made. I even managed to churn up half of the left-wing for Gardner!
Voice Of Bolton: Well, whatever you did on the pitch surely helped us. Arsenal probably wondered why they couldn’t get their game on either – with a chopped up flank, they were out of the game! lol.
So, how about your family: are they all Bolton fans?
James: None of them! All through my life I’ve supported the underdog, and when I got into football I decided to support a team that got promoted. I never thought I’d end up falling in love with Bolton but I’m so glad I did!
Voice Of Bolton: Which Bolton game for you has been your most memorable moment and why?
James: I think the F.A. Cup Quarter Final last season will stay with me forever. I was dancing around the lounge like a lunatic when Lee got the winner! Absolute rollercoaster of a match – credit where it’s due, Phillips scored a cracking goal!
Voice Of Bolton: We’re interested to know how you found Voice Of Bolton and what made you join the team?
James: I found the site through Twitter, and decided to join because I love writing and hopefully after I graduate from University, I’ll become a journalist.
Voice Of Bolton: We wish you all the best at University. Ahh….the good old days, we remember it well – we mean the night outs and the parties. Our student loans were put to good use. Lastly, anything you’d like to say to our readers?
James: Follow me on Twitter: @jpeach17 to read more of my thoughts about Bolton and all sorts of other things!
